FAQ


A. The car umbrella does not require constant cleaning. However, in case the product needs to the cleaned, simply place it on top of the vehicle and pour water on the fabric to wash off any dirt. In case water droplets are left on the fabric, use a cloth to soak it before packing the umbrella.
A. In case of rainfall, water may get accumulated on top of the umbrella. The holes are placed to let the accumulated water drip off.

A. Yes the oxford fabric used in the car umbrella is waterproof. However, the automatic motor is NOT.

A. There is a manual override switch located on the device handle to OPEN or CLOSE the umbrella without the remote.
A. As a fail-safe, the car umbrella can be operated manually also. In order to do this, remove the centre pin as indicated in the manual and gently close the umbrella manually. It is not advised to operate the umbrella manually for a longer duration as it can result in damage to the motor and other components.
A. Upon charging the Blue LED light will be on. When charging the finished, the LED will turn off.
A. Ideally, the umbrella needs to be placed on the centre of the car roof. However the positioning may be changed depending upon the type and dimensions of the vehicle.
A. As it is with any suction base, the surface needs to be clean and dirt free. Kindly use the micro-fibre cloth (provided with the umbrella) or any other clean cloth to wipe the surface of the area where you wish to place the car umbrella base (you do NOT need to clean the entire car roof). Also, gently wipe the suction base to get rid of any dirt that might has gotten stuck to it.
A. The car umbrella is equipped with a cut-resistant, anti-theft rope. It consists of a high quality, cut-resistant metal wire along with a hook which needs to be placed inside the car cabin. In order to remove the anti-theft rope the door needs to be opened first, thus limiting theft.
CRYTEC does NOT take responsibility for operator negligence in terms of loss or theft of the car umbrella. It is always advised to be vigilant and use the product safely.
A. All items come with a 6 months manufacturer’s limited warranty.
A. After a successful transaction, the item will be dispatched from our facility within 2 working days. We will email you the tracking details on the email address that you had provided whilst placing the order.
A. In case the order has not been dispatched, we will be happy to make possible modifications to the shipping address. Simple email us at ‘info@crytec.co’ referencing your invoice Number, old shipping address along with the new shipping address.
